Bijan Khorram

Bijan Khorram has been an associate and senior consultant at INTERACT since April 1987. Mr. Khorram's interest have mainly centred around corporate strategy and architecture, cultural transformation, management development and education. His recent clients include ALCOA, Anheuser-Busch, Metropolitan Life, the Software Engineering Institute at Carnegie-Mellon University, ESSO Petroleum (Canada), DuPont, Marriot, Central Life Assurance Company, COM/Energy Services and Butterworth Health Systems.

Prior to joining INTERACT, Mr. Khorram served as management consultant and educator at the institutional, national and international levels for over 30 years. Amongst others, he was co-founder of the Advanced Technical/Vocational Educational Planning Programs at the University of London, worked as expert on entrepreneurial development at the United Nations Industrial Development Organization.

Between 1976 and 1978, Mr. Khorram was the Deputy Minister of Education in Iran where he was responsible for major undertakings involving the redesign of the national system of education, addressing issues of decentralization of form and regionalization of content, community and private sector participation, and industry-school collaborations. He served as representative to the 15-member-nations Asian Productivity Organization in Tokyo. As the Club of Rome's Director for the Middle East and North Africa, he conducted a global study entitled "Goals for Mankind." As a co-founder of Iran's Industrial Management Institute (IMI), Mr. Khorram served as the Executive Vice-President of Consulting Services as well as the Dean of the Executive MBA Program. In this capacity he conducted more than 150 redesign, education and research projects.

As a fellow of the British Institute of Management, Mr. Khorram has his Masters from University of Tehran's Central for Advanced Social Science Research. He completed Harvard Business School's Program in Management Development in 1970. From 1980 to 1983 he was involved in a research study on industrial education and management at Oxford University. Mr. Khorram's educational and professional experience includes research, training and organizational transformation work in China, Egypt, Germany, Great Britain, Canada, Hong Kong, Iran, Japan, Pakistan, Poland, Switzerland, Sweden, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, USA, and Soviet Union.
